What Time In Force (TIF) can I use for trading stock?

Time in Force (TIF) determines how long your order remains active.

Available options:

• DAY: Active from 4:00 AM – 4:00 PM ET
• DAY+: Active from 4:00 AM – 8:00 PM ET
• GTC: Active during regular market hours (9:30 AM – 4:00 PM ET), automatically re-submitted each day until filled or canceled
• GTC+: Active during all trading sessions (4:00 AM – 8:00 PM ET), automatically re-submitted each day until filled or canceled

Important:

• Certain order types may have TIF restrictions
• LR short orders are not eligible for GTC or GTC+
