What symbols are eligible for day trading only?

The following symbols are currently eligible for day-trading-only (DTO) through TradeZero America. These securities may only be traded intraday and cannot be held overnight, whether the position is long or short.

The symbols are split into two tables below.

The first table lists symbols eligible for long trading only i.e., short selling is not permitted on these symbols, even on an intraday basis.

The second table lists symbols eligible for intraday trading, long or short i.e., short selling in these symbols is permitted on an intraday basis.

Regardless of which table a symbol appears in, all day-trading-only restrictions described in “What are the order cutoff and liquidation times for day-trading-only symbols?”apply equally.

This list, and each symbol's short-sale eligibility and other attributes, may change at any time without notice.

These symbols may be traded long only, intraday. Short selling is not permitted.

These symbols may be traded long or short, intraday. Short positions remain subject to standard locate requirements and margin rules, and — like long positions in these symbols — may not be held overnight.
