What is multi-factor authentication (MFA)?

Multi-factor Authentication (MFA) is a more secure way to ensure logins are done by the account holder. You can use
either an Authenticator App or receive an SMS (Text Message). Both ways will require you to submit a unique 6-digit
code when logging into your trading platform or client portal. All TradeZero accounts are required to set up MFA


What Authenticator App can I use?

Major 3rd party Apps are supported including the following:

  • Authy
  • Microsoft Mobile Authenticator
  • Google Authenticator
  • Duo Mobile

What should I do if I get a new phone or change my phone number?

If you get a new phone and have difficulty transferring your MFA to the new device, or you change your phone
number, you will need to reach out to a TradeZero client service specialist, and they assist you in updating your
account and setting up your MFA.
