US stock futures hit pause on Monday as investors assessed signs of progress in US-Iran peace talks and prepared for a pivotal inflation report later this week.
S&P 500 futures slipped 0.1%, while those on the Dow Jones Industrial Average traded flat.
Contracts on the tech-heavy Nasdaq 100 were also little changed as Wall Street set up for a muted open after Friday's holiday closure.
There has been "encouraging progress" in peace talks with the US in Switzerland, Iran said on Monday, with an agreed roadmap to sealing a final deal within 60 days.
That eased some nerves prompted by President Trump's threat of strikes on Iran if Tehran doesn't rein in Hezbollah's actions against Israel. Yahoo Finance reports.

💼 Cognizant Slides 10% as Nasdaq-100 Exit Nears
Cognizant Technology Solutions Corporation finished down 10.49% at $43.70, falling $5.12 on Thursday.

🌍 Soaring Profits in Emerging Markets Build Case for a Raging Bull Market
Companies in the MSCI EM Index have reported average annual earnings above expectations set a year ago for the first time since April 2022, according to data compiled by Bloomberg.
Asian tech firms are driving the results, but profits are also improving in other sectors of the market, like Indian oil refiners and Brazilian electricity companies.
With emerging-market stocks riding gains of nearly 30% this year, evidence of healthy profit growth is signaling to bulls that the rally is being built on solid fundamentals, rather than speculative froth.
That's prompting investors like Morgan Stanley and JPMorgan Chase & Co. to predict that gains will spread beyond artificial intelligence-related stocks. Yahoo Finance reports.

Monday is the first regular session after the holiday.
CoreWeave, the AI cloud firm, is set to join the Nasdaq-100 ahead of the market open on June 22.
The Nasdaq-100 tracks 100 of the largest non-financial names on the Nasdaq.
Nasdaq says funds and products tied to the index control more than $800 billion in assets worldwide.
That forces index funds to buy shares of companies as they’re added. TechStock² reports.
