How are my securities and funds protected at TradeZero Europe?

Your investments in securities are covered under the Dutch Investor Compensation Scheme or ICS (the Beleggerscompensatiestelsel). The ICS may compensate you, under certain legal conditions, for losses of up to EUR 20,000 per person if TradeZero Europe cannot meet its obligations after being declared bankrupt.

In addition, TradeZero Europe maintains clearing accounts with one or more brokerage firms that are members of the Securities Investor Protection Corporation (“SIPC”). In the event of the failure of such SIPC-member brokerage firm, TZEU customers would be eligible for SIPC protection against the loss of assets on a pass-through basis up to $500,000 per customer (including up to $250,000 for cash claims) to cover any shortfall in customer property.

TradeZero Europe holds client money in a segregated client money account with ClearBank Europe N.V., a Dutch banking institution. Deposits held by a bank in the name of a financial institution for the benefit of third-party clients qualify for protection under the Dutch Deposit Guarantee Scheme (the Depositogarantiestelsel) on a look-through basis. The Dutch Deposit Guarantee Scheme protects eligible deposits up to EUR 100,000 per person, per bank.
