France’s Schneider Electric is nearing a deal to buy US software group PTC for about $20 billion, the Financial Times reported on Sunday, citing people with knowledge of the matter.
A deal may be announced as soon as Monday, the newspaper said, adding that discussions between the two companies were ongoing and that there was no certainty they would result in a deal.
Reuters could not immediately verify the FT report. Schneider Electric and PTC did not immediately respond to Reuters’ requests for comment outside regular business hours.
Boston-based PTC has a market value of $15.63 billion, according to LSEG data.
In July, the company lifted its annual revenue forecast after third-quarter results, betting on strong demand for its core industrial software and artificial intelligence-powered tools. NYPost reports.

🧩 Qualcomm Licenses Patents on Huawei’s LogicFolding Chip Tech
Qualcomm Inc. has agreed to license patents underpinning Huawei Technologies Co.'s novel LogicFolding chipmaking technique, a win for the Chinese company and its push to advance in overseas AI markets.
The multiyear deal is part of a cross-license agreement between the two chipmakers, spanning technologies related to 5G devices, AI services, near- and co-packaged optics and networks, a Huawei spokesperson said Monday.
The agreement with Qualcomm helps validate the Shenzhen-based company's chipmaking capabilities. Huawei sees its new architecture as a breakthrough that boosts semiconductor performance and helps it narrow the gap with industry leaders such as Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co.
That approach focuses on improving data transmission speeds to make up for China's lack of access to ASML Holding NV's extreme ultraviolet lithography machines, the gold standard for the production of cutting-edge chips. Yahoo Finance reports.

Brazil generated $15.2 billion of MercadoLibre’s $28.9 billion in net revenues and financial income in 2025, according to its annual report. That represents about 52.6% of the total, making Brazil its largest market by that measure.
