A four-year partnership — why we're backing Melle van 't Wout through 2030

Most athlete partnerships last a season, a campaign, maybe a year. Ours with Melle van 't Wout runs through the next full Olympic cycle — to the 2030 Winter Games.

That's a deliberate choice. We didn't want a short-term endorsement. We wanted a genuine relationship with someone whose approach actually reflects the kind of trader, and the kind of person, we’re proud to be associated with.

Melle's path to Olympic podium at Milan-Cortina 2026 wasn't simple. A serious knee injury put his speed skating career on hold, with surgery, rehab, and real uncertainty about whether he'd compete again.

During that recovery, he started trading — and it became something that gave him the same discipline and focus his sport demanded. By the time he stepped back onto the ice for Milan-Cortina 2026, trading had become a real part of his life.

He made the Dutch Olympic team. He won silver in the 500m. Three days later, he was instrumental in the Netherlands’ first-ever Olympic gold in the men's relay.

Our partnership with Melle, running from April 2026 through to March 2030, supports both sides of that story — his pursuit of further Olympic medals, and the trading life that's grown alongside his athletic career. Over the next four years, we'll be building content, hosting educational sessions, and creating space for him to share what he's learning as an active trader, alongside the team here at TradeZero.

This is the beginning of a long partnership, not the end of a single campaign. We'll be sharing more from Melle throughout the year.
