US stock futures wobbled on Friday as concerns over the AI trade lingered following a sharp sell-off in technology stocks (XLK), prompting investors to seek safety in bonds.
Futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average (YM=F) and S&P 500 (ES=F) each fell 0.2%, while Nasdaq 100 futures (NQ=F) were little changed after semiconductor and Big Tech stocks sold off on Thursday.
AI-related stocks remained under pressure as concerns over rising financing costs and a potential slowdown in capital expenditure weighed on cloud infrastructure companies such as CoreWeave (CRWV).
Chipmakers Nvidia (NVDA) and AMD (AMD) also declined, alongside other AI infrastructure stocks.
Tesla (TSLA) and Meta (META), two of this week's major earnings headliners, also declined. Yahoo Finance reports.
📞 RingCentral Up 13% at $90.02 After Q3 Earnings Beat and Guidance Raise
Morgan Stanley raised its price target on RingCentral (RNG) from $41 to $91 while maintaining an Equal Weight rating on the shares.
In a post-earnings note, the firm highlighted RingCentral's strongest revenue quarter in some time, with subscription growth accelerating for a third consecutive quarter.
Despite acknowledging that it missed the rally, Morgan Stanley noted that shares trade at a premium to peers, suggesting further upside would depend on larger forecast revisions rather than valuation multiple expansion. TipRanks reports.
🖥️ Why is TTM Technologies Stock Gaining on Friday?
TTM Technologies Inc. (NASDAQ: TTMI) shares rebounded in premarket trading Friday after plunging nearly 28% on Thursday, despite stronger-than-expected third-quarter earnings and raised guidance.
The sell-off came as investors weighed delays in data center projects, rising acquisition-related borrowing costs, and a weaker-than-expected revenue outlook for 2027.
Thursday’s sharp decline may also have reflected profit-taking following a rally driven by strong demand for artificial intelligence and defense technologies. Benzinga reports.
