US stock futures leaned higher on Wednesday, poised to maintain momentum on a modest rebound with jobs data on deck to help set interest-rate expectations ahead of the Federal Reserve policy meeting.

Dow Jones Industrial Average futures edged up 0.2%, while those on the S&P 500 nudged 0.1% higher. Contracts on the tech-heavy Nasdaq 100 floated just above the flat line.

Earnings movers enlivened premarket trading, with shares of US chipmaker Marvell Technology (MRVL) jumping around 10% after a stronger-than-expected quarterly report.

American Eagle Outfitters (AEO) stock surged 11% as the retailer raised its full-year outlook after a stronger-than-anticipated start to the holiday shopping season. Yahoo Finance reports.

🏭 Amazon challenges competitors with on-premises Nvidia ‘AI Factories’

Amazon announced a new product Tuesday called “AI Factories” that allows big corporations and governments to run its AI systems in their own data centers.

Or as AWS puts it: Customers supply the power and the data center, and AWS plunks in the AI system, manages it, and can tie it into other AWS cloud services.

The idea is to cater to companies and governments concerned with data sovereignty, or absolute control over their data so it can’t wind up in a competitor’s or foreign adversary’s hands.

An on-prem AI Factory means not sending their data to a model maker and not even sharing the hardware.

If that product name sounds familiar, it should. That’s what Nvidia calls its hardware systems that are chock-full of tools needed to run AI, from its GPU chips to its networking tech.

This AWS AI Factory is, in fact, a collaboration with Nvidia, both companies say. Yahoo Finance reports.

☁️ Salesforce stock (CRM) underperforming into earnings, moving off lows

Salesforce's stock has found a little support in recent days, adding 3.49% in the past week of trading, yet the trend remains one of huge underperformance YTD ahead of today's earnings.

The cloud-based software giant heads into its third-quarter fiscal year 2026 earnings trading at $235 per share, 29% lower than where it began the year.

The current price sits significantly below both the 50-day simple moving average (SMA) of $260.71 and the 200-day SMA of $293.50, a bearish technical sign for the stock. AskTraders reports.

⭐️ Macy’s stock price makes 52 week high ahead of earnings: what to expect

The stock price of Macy's Inc. hit a new 52 week high ahead of earnings, marking out $23.15 to set the stage for its upcoming earnings report, scheduled for release before this morning's market open.

The stock ended Tuesday's session 0.48% lower at $22.71, yet has bounced some in extended hours to $23.12, within cents of that freshly minted high.

Wall St expects Macy's to deliver an EPS loss of $0.13, a considerable decline on the $0.04 profit from this time last year. Revenue is also expected to have slowed 3.87% to $4.56billion on the quarter.

The trend leading in has been more positive, with 3 upwards revisions to EPS expectations on the month. AskTraders reports.

🛢️ Copper is the new oil

Copper almost hit $11,300 per tonne today, marking an all-time high and a 30% surge year-to-date. Mining companies won't green light new projects until copper reaches $12,000 per tonne.

We're still 6% short, but the market is already pricing in scarcity for good reason

AI data centers are set to triple global power demand by 2030. Each Nvidia GB200 rack (roughly the size of a refrigerator) requires nearly 2 miles of copper cabling.

Multiply that across thousands of data centers under construction, and you begin to see the scale of what's coming. MarketScreener reports.
